Many thanks to all of you who responded to the late December email regarding the proposal to hold a Centenary dinner in the Painted Hall of The Old Royal Naval College.

The response has been much greater than we expected and has also been overwhelmingly positive. The choice of venue has clearly struck a chord with Old Roans everywhere.

We have accordingly now confirmed our booking for Saturday 24th September 2011 and a deposit of £1,200 has been paid. We can now all go ahead with our respective plans for what we hope will be a truly memorable occasion.

The Roan Magazine is due for distribution in a few weeks and within the envelope there will be a booking form with further information and a small questionnaire. If for any reason you do not receive this please contact one of us as below.

We look forward to receiving your responses before the end of May and to seeing as many of you as possible on September 24th.

 Floreat Roana!

CENTENARY DINNER   -   SATURDAY 24th September 2011

Fellow Old Roans,

Many thanks to all of you who responded to our August update message. We are now in the position of attempting to tie up the many loose ends and we need your co-operation.

CAR PARKING If you still require a parking space within the grounds of the ORNC we urgently require the named driver and car registration number. We need this info by 15/9 and we are unlikely to be able to accommodate any requests after that. Over 25 of you requested parking spaces on your original booking form.

If you still wish to take part in the above please contact us urgently advising us of your preferred day and whether or not you will be accompanied.

At this stage please respond only if you live OUTSIDE the South East London area.      About 50 of you showed an interest in this

SCHOOL VISIT As a courtesy to the Headteacher and staff of the John Roan School, who have agreed to provide guided tours on the Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon, please confirm your interest, choice of day, and whether you will be accompanied. About 60 of you showed an interest in this.

Time wise there is no problem with doing both these trips on the same day.

Yours in anticipation!
